Enabling in situ validation of mitigation algorithms for magnetic interference via a laboratory-generated dataset

Coauthored. A laboratory-generated dataset with known ground truth, so interference-mitigation algorithms can be validated rather than assumed.

As a coauthor of this paper I worked on some of the writing, generated the figures, and uploaded the data repository to the Iowa Research Online portal. The dataset and code give magnetic interference researchers a set where we know what is geophysical and what is interference. That matters because when we run these algorithms on satellite data there is no way to know the ground truth of the spacecraft's own signature. This dataset provides that ground truth, which makes it possible to measure algorithm performance instead of estimating it.
