MS thesis. Analyzing chemical compounds in a large GCxGC-ToF-MS data repository.
My MS thesis dealt with analyzing chemical compounds in a large data repository collected with a GCxGC-ToF-MS instrument. The main contributions are two: an algorithm that compares two mass spectra to find matches, and a method that uses properties of the data run itself to locate which compounds are worth comparing at all. The FDA targets specific analytes that may cause harm to humans.
